Tile & shower installation
Tile and shower installation in Winston-Salem, NC
Tile is the part of a bathroom people see, and preparation is the part that decides whether it lasts. We install custom tiled showers, tub surrounds, and floor tile, and we do not skip the layers underneath that keep water where it belongs.

What the work covers
- Removal of existing tile, pans, and surrounds
- Substrate repair and preparation
- Waterproofing and moisture protection in wet areas
- Custom tiled shower pans, walls, niches, and benches
- Floor and tub-surround tiling
- Grouting, sealing, and glass or door fitting
Your options
Custom tile vs prefabricated
A custom tiled shower lets you set the size, the pan, the niches, and the bench, and it suits awkward spaces. A prefabricated base or surround costs less and installs faster, but you take the sizes and finishes that are made. We are happy to price both.
Preparation and moisture protection
Tile does not waterproof anything on its own. Wet areas need a sound substrate and a proper moisture barrier behind and beneath the tile. This is the work you will never see and the reason a shower still looks right years later.
Tile choices
Format, finish, and layout all change the look and the labour. Large-format tile needs a flatter substrate; mosaic and patterned layouts take longer to set. We will tell you what your choice means for the job.
What affects planning and cost
We do not publish prices, because a renovation price that ignores the actual space is a guess. These are the things that genuinely move the number on this kind of project.
- The size of the shower and whether the pan is custom or prefabricated
- The condition of the substrate once the old tile is removed
- Tile format and layout complexity
- Niches, benches, and curbless entries
- Glass or door selection and its lead time
How the project runs
- 1
Assess the space
We look at the existing shower or area and talk through custom versus prefabricated.
- 2
Prepare and protect
Strip out, repair the substrate, and install the moisture protection before any tile goes on.
- 3
Set, grout, finish
Tile is set and grouted, then the glass or door is fitted and the area is cleaned down.
